Grants
The CNC’s Neighborhood Council Support Program provides
grants for neighborhood council projects that promote community participation
and are consistent with the mission of the CNC. Funding priority
will be given to projects that enhance the beauty, safety, and quality
of life in the 4th District and/or strengthen relations among community
members. Projects can include block parties, art programs, cultural
events, street fairs, health fairs, clean-ups, community gardens,
and other neighborhood council organized programs and activities.
The grant program will not support events allowing alcohol or tobacco
use and it will not support events that are not free to the community.
“The Coalition of Neighborhood
Councils mission is to support
neighborhood councils, community based organizations and residents
to create, maintain and strengthen vibrant neighborhoods.”
Funding Range The
CNC anticipates awarding a total of $2,500 in grants each quarter.
