The Community Building Department is committed to providing support to the neighborhood councils and residents of southeastern San Diego. This support comes from regular meetings with council chairs and residents to assess needs and make residents aware of the CNC's ability to offer assistance to the community. This assistance ranges from coordinating outreach efforts within neighborhoods and recruiting new members into councils to establishing new neighborhood councils and youth councils. Community Builders also help residents in applying for funding to support projects and events within neighborhoods. Community Builders are also heavily involved in planning numerous community meetings and resident trainings. This department is the primary contact between the CNC and community residents.
